Sauteed Swiss Chard with Stems

Sauteed Swiss Chard with Stems

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients:

2 bunches of Rainbow Swiss Chard (any Swiss Chard is good if you cannot find Rainbow), stems removed, chopped, and set aside, then chop the greens

1 TBSP Light Olive Oil

1 cloves Garlic, minced

¼ tsp Sea Salt

¼ tsp Ground Black Pepper

1/8 tsp, Cayenne

 

Directions:

1.       Heat a 12” skillet on medium heat, then add olive oil.

2.       Add the chard stems and cook until tender.

3.       Add garlic, salt, pepper, and cayenne and cook for one minute.

4.       Add greens and cook until wilted.

5.       Serve immediately or put the cover on and keep warm until your other menu items are ready to serve.
